If you upload a PowerPoint directly to a course via the file upload feature, it will not embed, but rather force the learner to download it to their local machine. To avoid this, you can embed your PowerPoints or Google Slides into PlutoLMS pages.
*Note: Be sure not to set your share mode/settings to PRIVATE otherwise other users cannot view your content. This is a common error with Microsoft users only sharing files with their own organisation instead of publicly.
Step 1: Get embedded code.
*Note: Whichever tool you are using, please consult their support guides on how to get an HTML embed code for your presentation
For example (Google Slides)
Open Google Slides presentation and follow below,
(1) Click on 'File',
(2) Hover over 'Share' and it will expand more options,
(3) Click on 'Publish to web',
Click on (1) 'Embed' tab and (2) 'Publish' to view the code,
Once the code is shown (as below), Copy the code and go back to course.
Step 2: In the relevant course, click on "Edit course material."
Step 3: Click on the "Page" activity.
Step 4: Setup your page resource:
Step 5: Once you're done, scroll down and click on "Save and display."
The slides will then embed in your course.
