Adding Users to Your LMS

Once you’ve created courses and setup content, it might be a good time to start thinking about how to get your end-users onto your LMS, and the into courses.

This short article cover the following:

Part 1: Adding users to your LMS

Part 2: Enrolling users into courses

Part 1: Add users to your LMS

Option 1: Sign-up form automation

You’ll be able to send them to a sign-up form where the user can enter their details and become a part of your LMS. You’ll be able to add any additional information fields you’ll need via our custom profile feature.

Option 2: Manually adding users

You’ll be able to add users yourself, and you’ll be able to set and share their login details with them. This will let you input all the relevant user information yourself and you have the option of locking that information.

Option 3: Bulk uploading users via CSV

You’ll be able to use a template and bulk upload users via a CSV to the site, to your courses, to branches and to groups. You’ll be able to add custom profile fields too. This will save you hours if you have numerous users.

Option 4: Single Sign On, via Zapier, via API

Want further automation or more control? You’ll be able to add a single sign on option, make use of our Zapier integration which lets you connect with over 3000 applications or connect your 3rd party applications via the Pluto LMS API.

Part 2: Enrolling users into courses

Option 1: Manual enrolment

You’ll be able to add users to your courses at your own will, giving you complete control.

Option 2: Student self enrolment

You’ll be able to set up so the user can self enrol into classes. You’d be able to restrict the courses with an enrolment key or set up possible enrolment dates. Being able to set preferences on self-enrolment will keep you in control while saving you plenty of time.

Option 3: Payment gateways

You’ll be able to set up and select from various payment gateways and define your payment and enrolment settings such as course price, currency and if you’d like you could set an enrolment duration. Payment gateways enable you to sell courses, track your sales and there’s even the possibility of setting up subscription payments via Zapier.

Option 4: Course coupons

You can request the installation of a coupon block. This will enable you to generate and define course enrolment coupons and have complete control over how your coupons are viewed and shared. You’ll have full access to your coupon settings, reports and logs, perfect for tracking coupon enrolments.

Option 5: Branches sync

With this feature, you’ll be able to enrol an entire branch as a singular enrolment method. When working with many different site wide user groups (different teams, multiple training groups within one company etc) you’ll be able to save an abundance of time with this feature.

Option 6: Course enrolment confirmation

You’ll be able to set a confirmation barrier between the student using self enrolment and your courses. Admins or any users with the relevant permissions will be able to confirm access to enrolled students and grant them access to the course. Confirming enrolment enables you to view who is attempting to access your courses and grant them access at your will.

Option 7: Guest access

If you’d like to grant guest access to courses you may. You can add an optional password and restrict content within your courses to only show content to guests that you want to be shown.
